About Jeanette Dustin

Are you or someone you know struggling with managing emotions-anxiety or depression, are there sexual concerns for yourself or in your relationship, or are you struggling with adjustments in your life, maybe starting a family or parenting children who struggle with behaviors? If so I would love to hear from you in order to see if I am a good fit to help. I love working with all kinds of people, whether it is with a couple on their relationship, an individual, or a family system. I believe that part of moving forward towards change is supporting my clients in finding the solutions within themselves.

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with over 15 years of experience in the field. I work from a collaborative approach taking into consideration the whole family system. I am a member of AASECT (American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists). I am pursuing advanced training in sex therapy as a Sex Therapist.

I can appreciate how difficult it is for someone to seek out support. I would like you to know that I don’t judge, I am open-minded and approachable, and am looking to help you feel comfortable in order to allow for the space to talk about difficult things. I look forward to hearing from you and supporting you through your journey.

My Education & Experience

Hello! I’m Jeanette.

I hold both an undergraduate degree in psychology and a master's degree in marriage and family therapy (MFT). During my undergraduate studies, I began working in community mental health, where I gained valuable experience that helped me decide what I wanted to study. I chose to pursue MFT because I had a great interest in working with family systems.

In my work with families, I was initially drawn to help young children, which led me to create a more specific focus on parent management. This eventually shifted into working directly with parents, and then to focusing solely on couples by the time I opened my psychotherapy practice in 2016.

Working exclusively with couples over many years opened my eyes to the fact that individuals need more comfortable, shame-free spaces to discuss their sexual health and needs! Because of this, I decided to pursue a sex therapy certification in 2019. As a soon to be certified sex therapist, I now support both couples and individuals in my practice, and I offer targeted strategies to improve the health and well-being of my clients, including sexual health and relationship support.
